Traditionally we hold the gathering of the Clan McKane on the final weekend of KC. This year, well, it may go down as the smallest gathering ever! My dear sister was sick, Jamie couldn't make it, my brother in law and his boy (my squire) couldn't make it down from Illinois, Christal wouldn't come without Caitilin, Kat couldn't make it, am I missing anyone? If I am, they couldn't make it either! So I fell to Reggie, Sir Randolf and myself. Since we were so few (and I had new Italian garb), we left the tartan at home and went Venetian. The day was a warm 80+, but a good breeze to make it bearable. Even being reduced to a humble version of our past years gathering, it proved to be a very enjoyable weekend, and we were able to say our goodbys for the season to all of our friends. Next stop, hopefully, the Arizona faire!
