    On this day, the Clan McKane is diminished, as my father joins his ancestors. The man who shared in me his passion for history and knowledge, his love of food and travel, his wit and sense of wonder has passed. His pain has ended, and his next great adventure has begun. Slainthe!

    Milord Aiddan,

    My deepest condolences unto you and your House. Twas quite near this time 13 years since that my Lord Father passed away, his end not befitting the Life he led and the Example he demonstrated. Yet because of his Valour throughout the pain and suffering he endured he taught me yet another of a long list of Lessons. He set a Standard I may never reach, yet each day I endevour to do my best to do so.

    No doubt the man who sired one such as yourself and those of your Kin was no less and the Wryld mourns his passing. I shall light a candle this eve in his Memory and be glad of the Deeds he has done.
