Well, this Sunday is it, the airing of the EHM episode which features the Scallywags pirate group from Wichita, Kansas. Our friends the Scallywags invited myself and Reggie to join them in Arkansas for the filming of the episode, and though there was a lot of footage shot, who knows what will actually make the grade! But anyway, Some of my friends wanted warning of when it would air, so again, it's this Sunday, October 26.

Traditionally we hold the gathering of the Clan McKane on the final weekend of KC. This year, well, it may go down as the smallest gathering ever! My dear sister was sick, Jamie couldn't make it, my brother in law and his boy (my squire) couldn't make it down from Illinois, Christal wouldn't come without Caitilin, Kat couldn't make it, am I missing anyone? If I am, they couldn't make it either! So I fell to Reggie, Sir Randolf and myself. Since we were so few (and I had new Italian garb), we left the tartan at home and went Venetian. The day was a warm 80+, but a good breeze to make it bearable. Even being reduced to a humble version of our past years gathering, it proved to be a very enjoyable weekend, and we were able to say our goodbys for the season to all of our friends. Next stop, hopefully, the Arizona faire!

That's right everyone, Saturday was Caitlin's birthday, so stop by her site and wish her well. Unfortunately she was sick Saturday (great birthday present, huh?) and missed the annual Clan Gathering. No, Sis, I won't tell them how old you are, do you think I want you to thump me?

As reports have reached the headquarters of the Clan Mckane that sobriety is still rampant in the village of Canterbury, the McKanes have vowed to return until this scourge is rooted out, and the village dwells in peaceful excess once again.

I stopped by my seamstress, Lady Diane, today for a final fitting on my new garb. At this point a lot of the outfit is still held togeather with pins, but by next weekend it will be ready for the KC faire's last weekend. And no, the red and black tights are NOT going with it, they were just handy to try it on with. Lady Diane rocks, by the way.
