Joyous tidings(but will they last?!) since Uncle Glynn and Aiddan had to cancel their planned trip to Muskogee on the 24/25 of May, and were mightily sore about the whole situation, we are rescheduling to week prior, the 17/18. This means, yes, we will get to meet all of the Hatchet women in attendance. Surrounded by this much estrogen, Glynn and I shall pack extra Hooters t-shirts and anything else "manly" that we can think of to keep our testosterone levels where they should be. Did I mention that we're stopping at a wholesale fabric store on the way? Uh, it IS a manly fabric store, ...really. "Did you see the linen on isle three?"
The whip comes down, or I hate my job...
Well the joy was short lived...I have found out that I CANNOT take the weekend that I was to travel to Muskogee, it's Memorial day. So what? What happens on memorial day? Well if you are a chef at a country club where the greens will be opening for the first time simce fall, it means GOLFERS! And lots of them. Oh for some C4 and a bit dep cord. Sorry Reggie, Candidce, and Justin. there is a song that comes to mind (other than "when the whip comes down") "burning down the house"! No joy in mudville tonight, for mighty Casey has said "screw it".
Castle Bound(no, that's not BDSM)
It apppears that Aiddan and his uncle Glynn shall afterall be heading south this next month to the Castle at Muskogee, where they shall attend the handfasting of two their kin. I am certain that a good old fashioned Scotts throw down shall be had!

Venetian Embassy
I am most fortunate in that this next month at our Wichita faire (Great Plains Renaissance Festival) it seems that almost our entire Venetian group will be in attendance (this may the first time for this accomplishment) along with several other friends from the KC area. As we will have several children in the 4-6 year old range, I was hoping for a place that we might base ouselves out of, and provide some protection from what is often an unremitting sun. Thorgirm to the rescue! The owner of the faie has offerd us a site that we may erect the "Venetian Embassy" and find ourselves just such a base of intrigue. I now beging the quest for a suitable tent for our use. Jamie and Kat have a screened gazebo that may suffice us well, my only concern is that it is well know to rain on these April days, and we will have carpets and furniture to ease our comfort. The DaBaucheraes/McKanes are not know for "roughing "it when they partake the outdoors!
